The Camera That Uncle Sent

Everybody knows that Uncles always buy the coolest things for birthdays and Christmas gifts.  At least, that is the general consensus around this house.  After all, aren't Uncles just little kids in big kid bodies?  Uncle Kyle is famous 'round these parts for being funny, a great help in coming up with schemes, a great climbing toy, and fun to play with.  Not exactly qualities that will score him a big date, but they are at the top of the list in the Uncle department.  In fact, his nickname is "Uncle Jungle Jim", and rightfully so, he's earned it.  
 This year Uncle Jungle Jim sent the Summer Birthday crew a special birthday box. One of the many surprises Inside was a small digital camera for each of the children.  Needless to say, they were beyond thrilled!  Emily didn't realize it was a camera and carried it around talking into it like a cell phone. However, it succeeded in keeping her very busy for a long time, so that makes it a very valuable gift.  After we scalped what seemed like a thousand AAA batteries from various electronic devices around the house, the kids set to photographing life around the house.

After several lessons in "don't open the battery compartment or it will erase your pictures", Titus finally got the hang of it.
His first picture was a Self Portrait, which really gives away the stellar capabilities of this camera (which is why they're perfect for the kids)


His second photo was this lovely picture of me.  How happy it makes me to put this here for you to to see.
If it were not for the fact that Titus asked me to, you, my friends would not have this viewing pleasure.

 Our next featured photograph is one of our super fast swimming Fantail Goldfish. I think this is Rita, but its kind of hard to tell from the photo. (Yes, our fish is named Rita, for real. Got a problem with that?)

And last but not least is a creative shot of our coffee table, complete with stuff on it and under it.  Lucky you!  I'm not sure what the inspiration for this photo was, and now that I've posted it here, Titus can't remember why he took this picture either.  

And just because...we included this one.  Can you guess what it is?  Titus knows and he said if you can guess what it is then he'll tell you "Good Job". How's that for an offer, eh?
