The Zip Line Adventure
One of the days that we were there, Brian took Caleb to a Canopy Tour for an early birthday present. They went through the tree canopy on 10 zip lines, 5 adventure sky bridges and rappelled back to ground level at the finish line. They also got to do the "Super Zip". To reach the Super Zip “launch pad” they traversed a series of three elevated walkways and two scenic tree platforms, all leading to a 85 foot tower. They Launched two at a time from the tower, Caleb first, and then Brian. The zip line plunged into the forest, flew through the tree canopy — until the bottom drops out at the edge of a rock cliff — then swooped down over the middle of the Hocking River... They did all this while in a “super hero” flying position! The whole ride was over a quarter mile long, and they traveled as fast as 50 mph!!
Caleb's exact remarks were, "It was TOTALLY awesome!!, the coolest thing I've ever done in my life!!"
That video was AWESOME!!!! How fun! What a special memory they made together. It was so fun to watch too! I replayed the end a few times! I hope Dan can take the boys on something like that someday. What a blast!
ReplyDeleteSounds like something your men would like! Wish I could watch the video, but there's not enough bandwidth here. Grrr!
ReplyDeleteI loved watching this video - thanks for sharing the link. We have a really steep back yard and Rod keeps talking about putting a zipline in. Not gonna happen! Looks like your guys had a blast!
