The Ultimate Fungi Post

How many things do I really have to say about all of this fungus??  Not much, really.  BUT, I did do some research and find out what some of these Fungi are called.  Well, let's just say that "I think" these are a few different species, but I'm no expert, so don't take this as any sort of knowledge base.   As a relevant disclaimer, I'd like to throw out the same information that I shared with my lovely children.  No matter how nice any of these little mushrooms look, let's just assume that they could all kill you if you touch them or eat them.  Sometimes its best to draw drastic lines... ie: mushroom vs. poison mushroom and this seems like a time for such a cause.   So, if you're on a trek with your people and you see a mushroom that you recognize from my photos, just keep on walkin', don't touch it, don't eat it, don't even smell it.  Remember, assume its going to kill you and you'll be safe.   Thanks for bearing with my obsession of these fungus friends of mine.
Ramariopsis laeticolor   (From a distance it looked like tiny flames coming out of the ground)
Coral Mushroom (about 1 1/2 inches tall)
The BIG Kahuna  - It was literally 12 inches tall!!

Dasyscyphus virgineus

Russula compacta

Russula emetica
False Chanterelle
Pluteus pellitus
Many zoned Polypore

Ascomycetes

‘Root Fomes’
Now you've probably seen more pictures of Fungus than you ever thought you wanted to.  Maybe you still wish you never even bothered to read this.  Too late now!!  ha! ha!
Next time, I promise, no fungus.
