Unexpected Visitor

This evening, after the kids were in bed, I snatched up my scissors and went out back to cut flowers for our table.  Its so wonderful to have flowers in bloom, at my disposal, to cut and bring inside.  Usually, I have to shoo away a few honey bees or maybe a cabbage white butterfly, but tonight I was met with an unexpected surprise!

A beautiful butterfly, having a nice, quiet nectar snack!  It was not disturbed by me in the least!  I quickly set down my scissors and ran wildly inside to get my camera!  Sure enough, it was there when I got back!  It was just sitting there and didn't seem to mind me a bit, even as I took many pictures from all angles.  What fun I had!  AND if you look closely (click on the photo) you can even see his/her tongue!!  Amazing!

What a special blessing at the end of a long, tiring day.  I have so much to be thankful for!  God is so good to ME!
