To-may-to or Ta-mah-to !!
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY!!!
My Pink Hydrangea has also started blooming, so, of course I had to take its picture as well. I don't need jealousy issues stunting my plant growth. They all need love. The second photo here I turned into my desktop background. It makes me very happy. It would make Martha Stewart cry tears of shame, it is so beautiful.
You read about it here first, folks!! My tomato plants are actually growing TOMATOES!!
For YEARS I have tried growing tomatoes. Big Boy tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, ya, you get the idea, I've tried lots of different kinds. However, I have never had success getting an actual tomato off of a plant. In fact, its something that sort of bothers me about myself. I should be able to grow tomatoes, I mean really, you can see entire truck loads of tomatoes that are probably grown and harvested mostly by machines and migrant workers!! I really should be able to at least eek out ONE tomato! Tomatoes fall along the lines of my Dahlia growing difficulties, which you may read about here, but I am not going to talk about it now because I'm bitter about it. Well, maybe not bitter, but it still makes me want to scream a little.
Sooo, I'm rather excited about this whole "actually growing a real tomato thing". In case you couldn't tell. Actually, the whole garden is growing great! I was also surprised to find that my Sugar Snap Peas have begun producing. I'm still waiting for my Sweet Pepper plants to flower, but they keep getting taller, so I guess that's a good sign. One of them has little pinkish flower-ish thingy's on it (sorry to get so technical), but no actual flowers. Guess I'll wait and see how it grows!
