In the FALL Swing of Things

I love Fall! I love decorating for Fall! It must have something to do with the fact that I LOVE the Fall colors. I'm a brown kind of girl and even though that is thoroughly depressing to you pink and red people out there, I still like it just as much. Maybe one of these days I'll break out of my mold and go on a shocking RED streak or something, but don't hold your breath.
Since I've mostly got everything in place, I thought I'd share some pictures of how it looks. Basically, its a lot of squash that we'll enjoy eating after a while and dried flowers and Indian corn that I've bought for the past 4 years after Fall. My frugal-ness keeps me from buying them during the time I actually need them for, but the trade off is so much better! Why pay full price when I can load up after the fact and get double or more than I could've had I paid full price?! Also, the basket of flowers and other arrangements that you see are things that I've put together myself rather than buying them premade. Making my own arrangements has also saved me a ton and with coupons flying around for Jo-ann's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby, how can I resist?? So, here's the highlights of my Fall decor in photos. Hope you like it! :)

  1. Beautiful Fall decorating!! I need to do a lot more of that. It's kinda hard for me though... I guess it's because it's such a busy time of year, and I feel like it goes by so fast that it's almost not worth it. I really want to this year though, I had planned to, just haven't gone out and gotten the lil' punkins that everyone uses. Where is the best price on those, you think?

  2. You're right, the Fall season does go fast, but I figure "who cares" since we end up eating all the squash after its over. I also cook all the pumpkin and freeze it for yummy treats later on.
As for where to find the best price on those cute little pumpkins... Well, 'round these parts, I got them at our Parking lot pumpkin patch. They were 3 for 2 dollars, which was cheaper than the grocery store. Just wait to see the pics of what we did with a bunch of those lil' pumpkins. I'll share that tomorrow! Love ya!
