Picture of the Day #3 +
So, I've been feeling a little disappointed with the pictures that I've been posting daily, but things have gotten a little crazed around here, so I'm makin' due with what I've got.
However, today I thought... Hey! I'm going to take 5 minutes and go outside with my camera and just see what I can get. 5 minutes isn't too long...I have time for that.
Well, It just so happened that there were some obliging flowers and a sweet little Bumblebee right outside my door! Hurray! and I was actually able to get a clear shot even though Emily was right beside me watching the "buttlefly".
Then as I was taking the pics off my card and putting them onto my computer, I spied this picture that I took last week. There was an electrical problem one evening at the store that Brian works at, and the Fire Dept. had to be called in to check it out. We heard about it, even though he wasn't working and zipped over there to check it out. Of course, I grabbed my camera on the way out just in case there was anything interesting. There weren't any exciting flames or anything, but I did get this shot of the fire truck.
Too bad I cut off part of the front... We were driving by it slowly, but apparently not slow enough! :)

great colors on the firetruck pic and love the bee pic.
ReplyDeleteWow! The firetruck is a great one! Twice yesterday while we were driving I saw something and said, "I should take a picture of that!" but didn't get the camera out fast enough. My husband did NOT drive slowly by either thing, but even if he had I know from experience that it's hard to catch things while in a moving vehicle.
ReplyDeleteI like the bee too. I have been putting my macro lens to good use lately. I spent a lot of time with an anthill yesterday, but alas....those little guys were just TOO little. It looked like a pile of dirt.
Oh my kids loved fire trucks when they were little. We have two good friends who are firemen and we got to tour the fire station once and my children were thrilled!
ReplyDeleteLove that you have a nursing home ministry. My brother and his wife do the same thing too.
If I am ever in a Home I hope that there will be people that come and visit so that I can worship the Lord and hear the Word preached! Bless you both!
BTW, cheesake sounds so yummy right now!
OK, where are the fireMEN? Love them.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte dear, in our town, the fire fighters actually get out of the truck and try and save things.
ReplyDeleteHoney, you're not in Terre Haute anymore. :)
