Me and My Shadows
Since I rarely post any photos of myself on here, I thought I'd slap this one in just for kicks.This was taken right before church on Mother's day. Brian took several photos in an attempt to get "a good one". However, as you can imagine it can be a bit of a challenge to get everyone looking great all at the same time in an impromptu setting. I think its a hilarious picture, personally. Titus with his tie all off kilter, Emily looks slightly drugged (which is not always such a bad idea), Ethan is making a classic goofy face, the newspaper bag is on the floor in the photo, my scrapbooking tote is in the lower right of the picture, and to top it all off I didn't even have my lipstick on. Oh well, I'm probably the only one who cares about all of that anyway.
For inquiring minds who want to know... The photo was taken in the living room in my favorite chair. I hate the color of our carpet. My shirt was wrinkled in the process of taking this picture. Titus was waaaay overdue for a haircut. These are my 5 wonderful children. Caleb is 11 (almost 12), Sophia is 9 (almost 10), Ethan is 7, Titus is 3, Emily is 1 (almost 2) and I'm XX-ish years old... Hmm, I wonder how many of you really know how old I am?? :)

ReplyDeleteI usually just start out with a wrinkled shirt and use "the kids in lap" thing as an excuse for having a wrinkled shirt. What to do now that they are getting so big?? Iron?? crazy talk.
ReplyDeleteEmily must have been drugged or in some peri-somnolent state, otherwise she would just be a blur like she is in most of the pics I have taken of her. It's a great picture!
GREAT photo!! How did I miss this post?! Did you really post it on the date it says?? I don't remember seeing it on my sidebar. :/ I love it... I'm so glad you finally posted a photo of YOU... the elusive Karilee Hayden. Hee hee... just kidding.. I see the occasional photo of you, but not nearly as many as I would like to see!! Nor do we see very many of your home, so I'm lovin' these, my friend. But you're lookin skinnier... are you doing okay? Are you just your "normal" skinny? What became of your throat surgery, did you have that done around the holiday time? I can't seem to remember if you posted about it. I've been wondering a lot about all of that... fill me in when/if you can! Love you!
