A New Book Club

Here's a few pictures from the other day. Nothing fancy, so don't mind the icky nose on Em. It comes standard 'round these parts lately.

The other day after bath time, Titus dubbed it "reading time" for he and Emily. Of course, neither of them truly read, but as you can see from these photos, they look just as intent on what they're looking at as if they were actually reading.

They're sitting cozily in my rocking chair that has a sheet thrown over it from an earlier adventure that included making a tent. Just so you know, there aren't any normal seats in our house that look that wrinkled!

I especially love this picture because of the intense look on Titus' face with Emily looking on as if he's reading something really interesting. So funny.

Titus and Emily are great buddies. They remind me a lot of how Caleb and Sophia were at this age. Actually, Titus and Emily are about the same age difference as Caleb and Sophia, one year and 11 mos. It seems to be a fine age span for them as they're all great friends with each other. Its such a blessing to raise little ones according to the teaching of God's Word. Teaching them about the plan that God has for their life and to love each others first seems to help them feel so secure and happy as children. Praise the Lord for the hope that we have through Jesus Christ our Savior!

  1. we too have a book club for non-readers or non-reader. This is when Nicholas sits on top of Hayden until she starts to read to him. It is very cute and Hayden, despite protests to the contrary enjoys it very much. I'm trying to get a picture of the action, no luck yet. My last couple of blog entries have been slightly more polite, and one of them even includes a recipe! entitled "haggis".

  3. Awww... so sweet! Love the photos. I wonder why Em has a runny nose all the time? Does she have an allergy to something she's eating? That's kind of alarming to me.... well, maybe not alarming, but concerning. :):) Poor little thing. I hope it's just a transient cold that will be gone soon! Her hair looks just like Turah's!!
