It Takes a Cake
Today, I was busy making a birthday cake for Ethan. One of the loves of Ethan's life is Airplanes, specifically, military airplanes.
Oh, excuse me, I mean, "aircraft". For years, he was in the "
Train Phase", but that has since passed and, like his Papa and older brother, loves all things related to "Flight". I'm not a very professional cake decorator, but good enough to make the 7 year old happy! Obviously, I'm not doing it to impress anyone, just to make my sweet son happy! At least, my cake hasn't been featured on Cake Wrecks...yet.

At least, my cake hasn't been featured on Cake Wrecks...yet. This adventure in decorating just confirmed my love for those cheap little candy button things. Did you know that you're supposed to wet the paper that they're stuck to when you want to remove them?? For years I didn't know that...lol, actually up until last year. Let me tell you it sure makes things A LOT easier!
The next cake that has been requested is some sort of tractor cake. That request was made by Titus, who got into the birthday spirit and has been planning his party and even inviting his guests! His birthday isn't until August. I'm thinking that he'll probably change his mind a few times before then.
I'll post the actual party pictures next, but not now. I need PJ's and my bed.
