This Time He Didn't Mean To...
It seems like Titus is always the one who gets featured on this blog the most. Sadly, it's been a history of wrong doing that has earned him his fame here. This time, however, is different.
In the winter here the weather gets very dry, so much so that a lot of people run humidifiers regularly.
When the weather is dry (and cold) we use lots of lotion and lip balm. I don't know why, but thus far Titus has been totally trustworthy to use lip balm on his own. Part of it stems from his need to be tidy (except for while he's eating chocolate), so he doesn't like to get too much of a good thing. I keep a few tubes of "Burt's Bees Lip Balm" and I've instructed him that if he sees the yellowish color and the bees then he may use it without asking if he puts it back right away.
After recently changing purses I found that I had too many lip balms, lip gloss, and lip sticks in my purse, so I decided to put a few of them in my drawer in the bathroom. No problem there, right? Except that one of the items that I thoughtlessly put in the drawer was a tube of Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm!!
Enter little Titus who is going to seek out the yellowish tube with bees on it to ease the dryness of his sweet little lips... and WOW! Look at those lips!! He hadn't seen himself, so he had no idea why I said "OH! MY!! I think I need to move things around!" He just looked at me with a confused stare until I showed him what had happened. Then he said "Eeeww!! Get this off me!! I'm not a GIRL!!" and "Where are the boy's Bees?"
At first, I thought that surely he would've realized the difference because it would've been colored when he opened the lid, but that's not always the case because a few others that we have are colored but don't actually put color on the lips. After all, I told him it was the only kind he could use!
So, here sits my boy with his camo hat, race car shirt, and a case of mistaken identity. Now the tinted lip balm has been moved and everything is "boy safe". I think. Probably not, but prayerfully so. :)

Wow Titus what a surprise for you, huh?
ReplyDeleteI love you Gramie
Ha.... poor little fellow. I can't imagine what it would be like to have such a dry climate... is it that way here too? If so, I have never noticed it... I'm thinking it is not that way here, though. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteI love your previous post also, I didn't get to comment on it before the new post came. The posted cows is such a great photo! It looks like it could be on a commercial, really! The lighting is great, I like the way it falls on the blanket. It looks great. Almost like the light is coming from above, yet I see where the window is. I love it! Also love the photos of the boys hunting them! Too fun.
