Some Silly Photos
Today as we were doing some purging of toys in our playroom we decided to count how many Chick-fil-a cows we own. Turns out we own 32 of them!! Who knew we had so many!!As we were boxing up some sentimental items, Caleb made a suggestion. "Hey Mama! Why don't we set up a photo shoot?! You know, a family portrait??"
Hey, why not? All work and no play makes me a boring Mama! So we set up a quick backdrop and set to arranging the bovine beauties! It was the easiest photo shoot I've ever done! Everyone stayed right where I put them, no one had to be told to "look this way". I did joke with the kids when they asked if I got a good shot....I told them I needed to get a few more, somebody blinked. It took them a second before they realized that I was kidding. After we were done, I went to download the photos to see if they needed any "post processing". The cows just sat there and waited....
However, that's when the family photo shoot took a turn for the worse for the cows...
That's when I saw Caleb sight up and start shooting "the beef critters"! All the boys caught the vision and geared up to take some shots of their own..jpg)
I told them that I was going to take their pictures as they were shooting, but they didn't even really pay attention. Believe it or not, all the faces and set up were totally candid!
I couldn't have planned it better if I tried.

All those nerf darts have to be good for shooting something, right?
Since this is a family blog, there are no photos of the resulting carnage. It was too devastating, to grotesque.
Actually, I didn't get any ending shots because they were shooting for such a long time that I had to go do something else!
This was war on the "Beef Critters" (they call them "Beef Critters because that's how they refer to a cow in the movie Sergeant York, which they love)

A little help from Titus the expert Marksman helps Ethan take out his target.
Before all of this, we were going to get rid of all the cows, now the boys want to keep them for target practice. sigh So much for my attempt at purging. Oh well, it won't be long before they set their "sights" on something else and then I'll steal them away in the darkness of night. (enter evil mother chuckle)
Just wanted to share what went on today after school. In case you (or Linda) thought maybe we were counting this as PE or something. lol !
Don't you have a few Beanie babies to add to the purge?...Please?
