Just Too Cold

I know there are parts of the country that are much colder, but I don't live there. I live here, and it's cold!

I'm thankful for my warm house, my flaxseed cozy, hot coffee, hot tea, fleece, heavy cotton knit tights that I got on sale at Macy's, warm shoes, my extra heater, and all things that create heat!! However, I don't like to be cold in the bathroom and that seems to be one of the coldest places in the house!! Okay, nevermind, I won't rant about the bathroom. Sorry to digress

Actually, today we had some global warming. It was 24 degrees outside!! Heat wave!! Believe it or not, I didn't see anyone come out to the grocery store in flip-flops! I guess it must be cold here. Thankfully, I didn't see anyone at the local "Krogers" in their pajama pants either. lol.

  1. Wow... is that your thermometer? I mean, your actual real one, or a stock photo? That's amazing! I have never felt weather that cold!! I hope it's not too hard (or expensive) to keep the home warm!

  2. That's is our REAL, actual thermometer. Don't worry though, today its warmer, its 25 and snowing. I love to watch the snow, from inside. :)
Our heating bill definitely goes up during the winter! It usually costs more than our summer cooling bill! Yikes!
We have a few oil filled (sealed) heaters in some of the rooms that don't heat very well and that helps to keep costs down. We keep our thermostat at around 67 degrees and beyond that its up to us to layer on more clothes if we're cold!

  3. Ha. Pajamas.
The flaxseed cozy in the BEST THING EVER. I don't think I could get the kids up in the morning without it, as the kitchen is the coldest room in the house, and also where they are dragged upon rising. To ease this trauma, they get the "toasty pillow". I love it. thank you!!! Maybe you gave it to my mom? I'm not sure but it is much appreciated on a daily basis.
