Super Sweet Deals
I know I just posted about my CVS deals and about Money Saving Mom, but I'm goin' that way again so I can tell you about the Super Sweet Deals I just scored at Kroger. Or, as Caleb said on our way out to the car, "Kroger just got ripped off!".
This week, Kroger is having a deal that goes like this... Mix & Match Mega Event! So, that means with this promotion, all you need to do is buy 10 items in any of the categories and you'll receive $5 off instantly at the check-out.
(They will do this up to 3 times per transaction)

~$1.50 priced regular or $1 when you buy 10 items
~$2 priced regular or $1.50 when you buy 10 items

~$3.00 priced regular or $2.50 when you buy 10 items
Kroger also doubles manufacturers $.50 or less coupons, which you can use on top of the in store sales. All of these things add up and made for a great run at Kroger.

My total out of pocket was $ 29.91 and the amount that I saved using the in store promotion and coupons came to $ 39.03!!
As you can see in the picture its quite a bit of STUFF. Several of the items are not items I would normally buy, they fall outside the "need" category, I'm not one to buy a lot of prepackaged foods and junky snacks. However, because of the promotion and the double coupons these types of things ended up being totally free! What's better than chocolate on sale?? How about FREE chocolate!! The kids were all fired up because one of the items that ended up being free were Banquet frozen TV dinner things. For whatever reason, they love these things!! Well, since they were free and it will mean that I won't have to make them any dinner one night, that's fine with me!
Sorry if this is confusing or boring, but it's just where I'm at these days. My personal challenge is to save as much or more than I spend out of pocket. I don't always accomplish it, but lately I've met the challenge or come really close.

Wow!! Those are GREAT deals!! I love deals... but sometimes they are a pain. I was able to use your link though, and print myself a Walgreens coupon that I used... all from your inspiration! OH! And I received your package!! I can't wait to write you a proper note about it.... it was fantastic! THANK you! WHO KNEW they made suit coats that size?!?! NOT I! And I have 4 boys!
