Love and Rockets

The truth of it is that somedays we're grumpy. Oh, I know we shouldn't be and if we would take note and ask the Lord for forgiveness our day would turn out much different. BUT, we don't.

Somedays our kids are grumpy and we think, "get over it", "change your attitude or else". Been there? Of course, you have.

Here I sat lamenting the bickering that was going on between loving siblings. WHY? DO THEY PERSIST? Why don't they just choose to stop it and enjoy each other? And then the Lord reminds me... Why don't you do that Karilee? sigh I do the samething and its just as wrong. Why do I fight the Lord? Why don't I just choose to stop it (repent) and enjoy walking closely with the Lord? Major altar call for me. Love my God first and then things go better.

As a mother, I have the challenge of trying to teach these precious children to love each other first and not themselves. The older children learn so much when I share with them how I botched it again (ahem, unless they got to see it first hand), and how they too can have an easier time in their lives as children if they put the Lord first.

This picture looks like two boys playing with a rocket. However, what it really shows is that after a day of battle between the two boys. One of them finally got the right idea and chose to yield. Praise the Lord that we have God's word to show us how to train our children and ourselves!!
