Normal is Nice
Sometimes I struggle with what to post here. I don't want to bore people who came to visit our blog. It's nice to share funny stories and pictures and to know that people are enjoying the time that they spent browsing over this part of our life. Today, I decided that it didn't matter to me if you would be bored or not when you read this because I had a wonderful, normal day. Not to say that it wasn't a whirl of activity, but it was just normal busy.
I'm sure some of you understand what I mean.
I'm sure some of you understand what I mean. Today as two of the children were doing some chores together, I was in the family room with Emily. She was laying on her "Bug Rug", also known as an activity mat or baby gym. Anyway, I was just having fun watching her wiggle and grin at her toys. Hearing her loud little baby sounds and her baby belches amidst the hub-bub of activity in the other room was so fun. I had a little Mommy moment with myself and it felt good. Babies grow too fast. (After they start sleeping through the night, that is) I remember a few months ago the sinking feeling that I got when I first saw Emily push herself up on her elbows. I said "oh! You can't do that yet!" But she did and she will do more growing up stuff.
So I watched my baby wiggle, did school, laundry, meals, refereed a couple face offs, and played the harsh judge, but it was all wonderful. AND to top it all off we got to go to church and hear a WONDERFUL message on Proverbs 22:15 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even though I've heard that verse countless times, I am always glad to hear preaching on it. God's Word is so practical and contains so many promises. Our little arrows...to train and aim for the day when they go off on their own.

You can post about normal days any time you like. Since I can't be back there enough, it's good to hear about all the precious, little things that go on.
