The Many Faces of Ethan

Ethan. He's his own little man. He's our talker (always talking, talking, talking).
One of his favorite subjects is batteries. Yep, that's right, I said, Batteries. This size battery goes to this toy and do you know how it works? Do you know what's inside a battery? Do you know what the outside of a battery is made from? Do you know why Gramps puts batteries in the freezer? Do you know what a big battery tastes like compared to a small battery? How many batteries does your flashlight take? Why does it take the big ones and not a lot of little ones like mine? Will batteries explode if you throw them off the top of the fort? How about on the driveway? What happens if you run over a battery with your two wheeler while wearing your helmet? What would happen if you didn't have your helmet on? A thousand questions with the answers can be found at Ethan.com (which, by the way, is probably "For Sale")

I wonder where he gets that from?! He's the one who always comes up with the craziest things to say at the funniest momments. He's the # 3 child, the funny guy.

Taking pictures of Ethan is always a hilarious and frustrating event for me. He's always flashing his handsome smile, but when the camera comes out it gets lost. I often wonder if he really thinks he's smiling or looking nice when he makes all his weird and twisted faces?! I now have 2 years worth of Ethan faces that are incomparable to any others. I have a scrapbook page planned with the same title as this blog entry which I hope to get to do soon.

Ethan will be turning 5 soon. This has left me wondering...how many years of these funny faces do I have to look forward to?? I think only Ethan knows the real answer.

  1. I love love love that third picture, where he looks a little afraid. LOL! Love it. Isaiah makes that face. Boy, it sounds like they are cut from the same cloth. Sometimes Isaiah just CANNOT stop talking! I am fearful of the future as his 2 year old vocabulary enlarges. :D SOOO funny that he likes to talk about batteries!! Sounds like a wise little guy. I can still hear your kids saying "gramps" too, they're the only ones I know that use that word. I know about the difficulties of trying to capture a handsome smile that you KNOW is hiding in there. Gabriel does that...somewhere before the shutter actually opens and captures the image it is lost and something frightening has taken it's place. *Sigh* And it happens every single time. Oh well, at least we will give them much to laugh about when they're older. :D
