Boy Boxes

What is it with kids and getting into toy boxes? We have a toy box that is home to our population (overpopulation) of stuffed animals and bean bags. Although our toy box survived our move to Ohio without breaking, it is doubtful that it would survive another move. The main structure is still intact, but the backing for the box part is always popping off. Since it's up against a wall it's really no big deal. The floor of the box has also seen better days. However, that part of the box had a little help... the name of that little helper is Ethan. The rule is that the box is the animals home and not theirs, AND the animals are not allowed to have VISITORS!

Now, enter innocent toddler Titus and you can see where this is going. He too has now been sucked into the toybox, just as his other siblings. Haven't we all been in a toybox at one time or another? It should've been a REEAAAlly long time ago for most of us or else I need to hear the story.

It really was something to watch him climb out of there all by himself. He never even fell over or anything. He carefully and methodically got himself out. (He doesn't get that from me, lol)

Titus has also taken to the upward heights. Yes, the world is his ladder. Where will it take him? Well, tonight he scaled a plastic storage box. He really was cute up there. He also thought that he had made the big time, he looked so proud and happy. Then he began to push buttons on the DVD player and, oh, great, he's trying to stick something into the VCR!! such fun I cannot express.

  1. Yes, Why is it that children love to climb into anything and everything? Oh well, I'm sure we did it too as kids. I hope he diesn't ever really stick something into the VCR...it would take him a lot of birthdays (and birthday $$) to replace that item. :) Great photo of him in the box!
