The Fab Four

Thanks to Lolita* (*name changed to protect her identity), the children all have matching outfits. It was such fun to see them all dressed up together. Caleb, however, had a different view of the situation and was all too glad to get home and get out of his shirt. At his age, he's not to keen on flowers or anything that smacks of pink or purple!
Summer is drawing to a close and at this point, I'm ready for Fall. It will feel good to have a tighter, more organized schedule for life. Not that we've just been loafing around, but when school's in session, things just seem to be more "in order". Ethan will be starting school this year and is very anxious. He says that he already knows all of his letters and the sounds they make. However, they're not the same letters and sounds that the rest of us know. It will be fun to see how he grabs hold of the things he is taught. Sophia, will be starting 2nd grade this year. She had some struggles last year, but something has "clicked" for her this summer and she's VERY ready to begin this year's work. Caleb, will be starting 4th grade this year. Even though he's the kid who says "I don't like school", he's the one who is hidden away reading his school books when everyone else is out to play.

Ruby, will be starting Puppy Preschool and she has no clue about any of it. We are all enjoying her very much. It has been and will continue to be a great learning experience for the children as we train her. They've already found out that having a puppy isn't just fun and games, but it's also hard work. Especially when it comes to the PPPP, that stands for Puppy Potty Pick up Patrol. It's not their favorite activity, but they're getting better at doing a good job the first time so they don't have to go back again and again.
Fall is also bringing visiting relatives, which adds a twist to the normal flow of life. We don't mind a bit and are always happy to have visitors.
And that's just the way things are.
What a sweet picture! It must be a blessing to know people like "Lolita" who want to do that kind of thing for your family!
ReplyDeleteHmmm......SO. Was it a Laura "Lolita" that made the new digs? You gotta tell me! You tell Caleb that I think those shirts are awesome and fun to wear out as a matching family! Now you should plan a trip to Hawaii! Hugs to you guys, Jen
