IS EVERYBODY HAPPY? H-A-P-P-Y?!
That's a question that Mr. Truett Cathy is famous for asking and it's sort of catchy, so I've remembered it since the first time I heard it. It doesn't really have a whole lot to do with what I'm going to write about next, but it's what popped into my brain first. -- Okay, so I am happy...
Soooo, who had a wonderful Mother's DAY??!! I did, I did!
Caleb and Sophia wrote me the sweetest letter and hid it in my drawer with my hairbrush so I would find it on Sunday morning. It wasn't written on fine linen paper with beautifully formed letters, but it was written with more love and expression than I have ever seen personally written by my children. It WAS folded into quarters and taped profusely to make sure it arrived safely. They were so proud and happy to have written their own declaration of love to me. I can't say that I cried when I read it, but that's because I'm such a hard woman, not really, but my emotions are not very close to the surface. Usually, my husband will get "touched" before I will and as far as I've been told, that's unusual. But then, don't we all know that I'm a little "unusual" anyway?!
Have you ever heard of "The Gift that Keeps on Giving"? Well, that's what I got for Mother's Day! You know that I have repeatedly mentioned our wonderfully OLD matress and the many nights of torture that it has provided me. It agrivated my formerly broken tailbone very effectively (that's a whole story in itself...no giggling from those of you that know the story!)Well, I GOT A NEW BED!!! And yes, I graciously share it with Brian :)
We bought it from The Original Mattress Factory and we love it! For a long time we were considering getting a "Sleep Number" Bed, but after researching it for a few months we decided that buying one of them would be "dialing the wrong number"! It is the first new bed we have ever bought and it was worth every penny!

How exciting to have a new bed!! We are getting very close to making that very same decision! We aren't exactly sure how old our mattress is.....but it's at least 11 or 12 years old, probably a lot more. We have both been waking up with a little back pain, and we're not used to that at all! But when he went out of town and slept at a hotel, and when I went to Joy's and slept on her super niiiiiice bed, neither of us had pain. We will start our search soon. :)
