Family Fun Night!

Saturday was Family Fun Night at the Park!
We all went to a neighborhood park and took our dinner. It was one of the first days that it hasn't rained in over a week. We were all glad to spend the nice evening outside. Since I'm still hobbling around and Titus is not mobile yet either, we just played on the blanket and watched the others on the playground toys. There was a lot of running, jumping, chasing and screaming! Not screams of being hurt, just screaming because they were gonna get caught by Papa!

At first, Ethan announced that Caleb was going to dig his way to China underneath the playground toy, but that was quickly changed to "He's just making a tunnel". Ethan is a great embellisher and often tells verrry tall tales.
Sophia and Papa were going to climb the tall tree that was near where we were sitting, but only Papa made it up past where you could walk. That was fine for Sophia, she is content just to watch until she sees that it's safe.
Just as we were getting ready to go home, I remembered that I wanted to take a picture of all of the children together. Brian was trying to get the baby to smile and look the right direction, but it sort of backfired. Instead, ALL of the children were looking at him and not at the camera! Oh well, at least they were all looking in the same direction, which is a change for the better!

It was a fun time for all of us and we hope to get to do it again soon.
What fun! Wish I could have been there! Call me a photography ignoramous or a doting, partial auntie...I love the last picture! I was wanting a more current one than Christmas of all four kids to put on my computer desktop, and this will be perfect! :o)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! We also went to the park that week. I think that's a great picture of the 4 kids. I hope you get it printed, the will love to see it when they're older. :)
