We all survived!!
Brian and Titus are home now, safe and sound. I am sooo glad. We kept ourselves busy here at home and had a nice time together, but I don't think we'll be doing that again any time soon!
I did get time to work on some painting projects for the boy's room. I am repainting their dressers to match each other. They are dressers that my Grampa built YEARS ago, which is very obvious because one of them was painted avocado green and the other is stained darkly. They also feature some "vintage" hardware for the drawer pulls. They are a little too vintage, bordering on the ugly side and not the chic' side of things. The color I chose is Cadet Blue as Home Depot calls
it, and even after the first coat of paint the first one alreadylooks better! The picture shows the old color on a drawer (and putty spots where I filled in the drawer pull holes) and the dresser with the first coat of paint. The lighting is a little weird so it's kind of hard to see the true colors. The colors simplified are before, "ugly" and after, "much better".

Titus did excellent on the airplane, both to and from Oregon. Praise the Lord! On the first flight, Brian had a man sit down next to him. The man looked a little apprehensive as he saw Titus there. Brian leaned over and jokingly said "Don't worry, sir, he only cries when we're flying!" As the flight continued and Titus was sweet and content, the man and Brian were able to talk and had a nice visit. At the end of the flight the man said "Brian, I have to admit when I first sat down, I was scared." Thank you Lord for our mild mannered baby!

They arrived in Medford, Oregon on Saturday evening around 5:45 pm. With a 3 hour time difference between Dayton and Grants Pass, Titus' system got a little mixed up, but he was still nice and happy. Great Gram fell in love with him as we suspected she would. Brian and Titus were also able to see Brian's Aunt Renee and Uncle Tom who also live in Grants Pass. It was a special reunion for Brian and a nice introduction for Titus. Of course, Gramps and Gram were also glad to see Titus. He has changed quite a bit since they saw him just a few months ago.
Your new dresser will be so pretty!! It looks great! Well, since it's for boys, I suppose that it will be handsome. :) I'm glad to hear that all are back safe and sound, Dan came back from Missouri safely also. I love the picture of Titus on Grandma's lap, so cute!
