Okay, so here's the rest of the story...
Brian has been waiting YEARS to get to meet Mr. Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-a. Just about everyone he knows that is affiliated with Chick-fil-a, including me, his lovely wife, have already met Mr. Cathy. Well, on this trip that was all going to change.
Brian's boss, Mr. John Blank (yes, that's his real name), called ahead of our arrival and arranged to have us put on Mr. Cathy's calendar for Friday, the 24th. It was verified, clarified, and communicated... It was really going to happen! Hurray! It was planned that the whole family would go to the meeting, since it would be casual and short. The day arrived and the children and I went to meet Brian and have lunch in the dining room, (which is gorgeous, by the way) after lunch Brian went back to class and the children and I went outside to walk some of the many nature trails that are on the corporate campus. We had a nice time walking, watching the waterfall and listening to the bell tower play hymns.
Then it was time to go back inside and MEET MR. CATHY with Brian. Caleb was especially excited because he understood the importance of meeting this important man. Mr. Cathy's office is on the top floor and on a far corner of the complex. His office is nicknamed "The Treehouse" because the entire outside wall is windows that face a forest, so it's like being in a treehouse. ( If you're interested in finding out more about Mr. Cathy, look here at his website. www.truettcathy.com or to find out more about Chick-fil-a, look here www.chick-fil-a.com ) We all arrived in the office and were introduced to Mr. Cathy.
Mr. Cathy immediately invited Ethan to ride his Rocking Cow and Ethan eagerly accepted.

Brian presented Mr. Cathy with a Dayton Mall Chick-fil-a Shirt for a photo opportunity. They will be using this photo for a promotional within the store called "Raving Fans". The promotional is that people will purchase a Chick-fil-a of Dayton Mall T-shirt and then they will take it somewhere, anywhere and have their picture taken, then upon returning they will bring in the picture to the store and receive a complimentary meal. The picture's will then be posted on a display wall at the back of the restaurant. (There is a store in Poulsbo, called Central Market that does a similar thing using a fabric grocery bag) We also gave Mr. Cathy a gift of Starbuck's coffee as a remembrance of us, that we want to open the first Chick-fil-a in Washington State, which is known as the home of Starbucks Coffee. It was a nice and happy meeting that we will all remember for a long time. Mr. Cathy is a sweet spirited man and he was so kind to the children. We've heard that often times when people visit his office with their children that he will spend more time talking with the children or teaching them a Bible verse than talking to the parents who are usually the most eager to be there in the first place!

So that's more of the story, but don't worry, there's more drama coming up, after all we were gone for 5 days!!
